Rims employees stage protest over pending salaries
Ranchi: Hundreds of nursing and paramedical staff at Rims staged a protest on Monday demanding immediate payment of their salaries pending for the last three months.
The employees, under the banner of Rims non-gazetted employees association, staged the stir outside the director’s office and raised demands of salary payment and implementation of old pension scheme (OPS) for them.
During the protest, employees alleged that they have not received their salaries for the last three months, which has created severe financial hardship to them.
Rims director Dr Raj Kumar, acknowledging the demands, said that due to technical issues, their payments are on hold. “I have directed officials to resolve the issue at the earliest to ensure payment of their salaries. There is a slight mismatch in the salaries of employees on the Rims website and the Jharkhand govt treasury’s website. Due to that, the salary could not be withdrawn,” the director added.
