3 killed in 2 separate road accidents in H’bag

Times News NetworkHazaribag: Three persons, including a college student, were killed in two separate accidents in Hazaribag in the last 24 hours.In the first incident, a student and a youth were killed in a truck-scooter collision near Morangi under Muffasil police station area on Ranchi-Patna Highway (NH-33). The deceased were identified as Resham Pravin (20), a resident of Kesra village under Tatijharia block, and her relative Taufeeq Ansari (24). Resham was an undergraduate student of K B Women’s College in Hazaribag.Police said the two were going to Sadar Hospital for treatment. Police identified Resham with the help of her college identity card in her bag. Both bodies got struck under the truck.In another incident, Bhim Kumar (24), a resident of Amritnagar under Muffasil police station area, died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle at Hutpa on Wednesday late evening. Kumar’s family came to know about his death on Thursday afternoon after which locals staged a road blockade on NH-522 alleging murder.Muffasil police station officer-in-charge Mukesh Kumar Singh said the blockade was lifted after they assured the family of fair investigation. Singh said, “Police have started investigations into both the incidents.”
