CMS staff robbed of Rs 6 lakh in Madhubani
Madhubani: Two bike-borne armed criminals robbed over Rs 6 lakh from an employee of Radiant Cash Management Services (CMS) near Reliance Mart in Sarrafa Bazaar Gali, Jaynagar, in Madhubani district on Monday. The victim, Dharmendra Kumar, was exiting the mall with a cash bag when the incident occurred.According to the complaint, two miscreants arrived on a bike, allegedly from the Sarrafa Bazaar side, and pointed a pistol at him. They attempted to snatch the bag, leading to a brief scuffle. One of the accused then gestured as if loading the firearm, prompting Kumar to release the bag out of fear. The duo fled with the cash.Police said the snatched amount — Rs 6,05,951 — had been collected from three outlets: Amazon, M-Bazaar and Reliance Mart. “An FIR has been registered and an investigation is underway. CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined, and raids are being conducted to identify and arrest the accused,” said DSP Sadanand Kumar.The broad daylight robbery in a busy market has triggered panic among traders and residents in the Sarrafa Bazaar area.
