A 25-year-old man has been arrested in Delhi for allegedly uploading a social media video that police say could “hurt religious sentiments and disturb communal harmony”.
MEERUT: A 25-year-old man has been arrested in Delhi for allegedly uploading a social media video that police say could “hurt religious sentiments and disturb communal harmony”.According to police, the video, which circulated online on June 2, showed a young man carrying a knife while moving around in a public area.The clip’s tagline and accompanying audio allegedly contained “objectionable and provocative remarks”.Police said they launched an investigation after taking “serious note” of the matter. During the probe, the man seen in the video was identified as Aman (25), a resident of Hari Nagar locality.

A case was registered against him under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), police said.He was arrested on Tuesday night near Bhoomiya Pul, officials added.Police also recovered the knife that was allegedly used in the video.Further investigation is underway, police said.
