National PG College to start engineering prgms at  Chandraval campus
Lucknow: National PG College has decided to introduce engineering programmes at its upcoming Chandraval campus from the 2027–28 academic session, alongside professional and law courses.The new campus, spread across nearly 20 acres on Bijnor Road, is being developed to cater to emerging industry demands with a focus on technology, applied sciences and interdisciplinary education.The college will also introduce artificial intelligence-focused courses as part of its engineering programmes.Principal Devendra Kumar Singh said, “We are planning to introduce core engineering branches such as computer science, mechanical and civil engineering with a strong emphasis on artificial intelligence and machine learning.”Initially, the campus is expected to begin operations in the 2026–27 session with courses such as biotechnology, agriculture, pharmacy, food technology and law.The addition of engineering programmes in the following academic year will mark a significant shift for the college, which has traditionally focused on arts, commerce, science and professional undergraduate and postgraduate courses.“We will soon be sending detailed proposals to the authorities to take this vision forward,” said Singh.
