Lucknow: Four impersonators were arrested in Lucknow during the Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) examination on Wednesday. Separate FIRs were registered against the accused under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the UP Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Ordinance, 2024.At Bappa Shri Narayan Vocational Girls Inter College, Charbagh, post-exam Aadhaar verification exposed a mismatch in details submitted by candidate Vijay Pratap Singh. Officials found that the person who appeared was Rajesh Pratap Singh, 49, from Jaunpur. He was detained and handed over to Hussainganj police.In second case, at Arya Kanya Pathshala Inter College, Badshahnagar, fingerprint and facial recognition failed to match records of candidate Amarjeet Singh. The impersonator was identified as Mantesh Singh, 30, from Azamgarh. A case was registered at Mahanagar police station.During the second shift at DAV Degree College, Arya Nagar, a joint inspection by static magistrate Paras Nath Pal and principal Rajiv Kumar Tripathi found Rang Bahadur from Prayagraj appearing in place of Avadh Raj Yadav. He was booked at Naka Hindola police station.At Vidyant Hindu Inter College, Aminabad, verification revealed Ram Manuj, 35, from Ambedkar Nagar was writing the exam for Jitendra Singh Yadav. He was detained and booked at Aminabad police station.Joint commissioner of police, law and order, Babloo Kumar, said the four accused have been booked for cheating, impersonation, forgery and criminal conspiracy, along with sections of the anti-cheating ordinance.
