Woman run over by train in Etawah

Kanpur: In a tragic incident, an unidentified woman was struck by a train on the DFCC railway line near village Ghamuriyaan, close to Bharathna railway station, at 1:30am, resulting in her death on the spot.A 2-year-old child accompanying the woman also fell victim to the accident and was seriously injured. The child is currently undergoing treatment at the district hospital. Police are making efforts to identify the woman and the child.The incident occurred near the DFC railway underbridge on Bharathna-Pali Khurd Road. The woman’s identity has not yet been established. Police are investigating whether the woman attempted suicide or was struck by the speeding train.Police has appealed to the general public that if anyone recognizes the woman or has any information about her, they should immediately contact Bharathna police station.
