Arun Awasthi XI beat Sharad Kapoor XI in U-15 cricket

Kanpur: Madhav Gupta’s six wicket haul and Veer Singh’s unbeaten knock of 80 runs helped Arun Awasthi XI beat Sharad Kapoor XI by 2 wickets and enter the final of Late Motiram U-15 Cricket Tournament being played here at Sapru ground, on Tuesday.

Sharad Kapoor, deciding to bat first, scored 9 for 241 in 35 overs with the help of Vishesh Agnihotri’s fine century (140). Arun Awasthi XI, in reply, scored 242 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 34 overs.
