Army War College hosts IIT-I group under Yuva Sangam Programme
Mhow: The Army War College (AWC), Mhow hosted a group of young engineering students from IIT Indore as part of the Government’s Yuva Sangam Programme on Sunday. They were taken to the camp of the Armored squadron situated at Hema field firing range. The initiative facilitated engaging discussions on next-generation technology integration, innovation, and the strengthening of national and professional bonds.
An AWC release stated that Yuva Sangam aims to promote national integration through experiential learning, cultural exchange, and direct exposure of youth to diverse institutions across the country. The engineering minds across domains participated in stimulating conversations focused on “Next-gen Tech Integration- Igniting Innovation & Forging National & Professional Bonds.”
This engagement is part of Phase VI of the Yuva Sangam programme. Delegates also visited multiple military establishments in the Mhow cantonment area, including the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE). These visits provided insights into military communication, cybersecurity, technological advancements in defence, and the rich history of the Indian Army through tours of defence museums and related facilities.
Yuva Sangam, operationalised by the Ministry of Education, seeks to foster mutual understanding and unity among the youth of different states by pairing institutions and regions under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat framework. IIT Indore is the nodal institution for this programme.
