BSF nabs B’deshi national in Dhubri

Dhubri: A Bangladeshi national identified as Muqtar Hussain (32), a resident of Dinajpur in Bangladesh, has been apprehended by the 89 Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) in Assam’s Dhubri district.

A source said Hussain was detained by the BSF near the Bishkhowas Border Out Post in the Golokganj sector during routine border patrolling on Saturday night. The source said he is being interrogated by the BSF intelligence branch and will be handed over to Golokganj Police Station for further procedures.

A senior officer at Golokganj Police Station said the BSF had not yet handed over the detainee, but would do so after completing formalities.
