Hisar: More than a week after the sensational murder of showroom manager Suraj Jain in Hansi, police have announced a cash reward of Rs 5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the main accused, Sahil Bamal. The move has sparked questions over the police's inability to apprehend the suspect despite repeated claims of raids and search operations.
According to police, Bamal, a resident of Hisar, is the prime accused in the murder case registered at Sadar Hansi police station. He has been absconding since the crime was committed on May 30. While police teams claim to be conducting raids at possible hideouts and tracking his movements through technical surveillance, the accused continues to evade arrest. The reward was announced through orders issued by Hisar range Inspector General of Police Kuldeep Singh. Police have assured that the identity of informants will be kept confidential.
However, the announcement has triggered public debate, with many questioning whether a reward declaration reflects a lack of progress in the investigation. Family members and local residents have expressed concern that despite the passage of several days, the prime accused remains out of police reach. Police officials maintain that intensive efforts are underway, and appealed to the public to share any information that could help trace the accused and bring him to justice.
