Keonjhar: CM Mohan Charan Majhi’s elder cousin Dinabandhu Majhi (54) passed away in Bhubaneswar in the early hours of Wednesday.The chief minister, deeply saddened by the news, rushed to his native Raikala village in Keonjhar district in the afternoon to attend the last rites.A large number of local residents and BJP workers also gathered at the village to pay their last respects.Sources said Dinabandhu, who worked at a local industrial plant, stayed at a govt quarter in Lower PMG in Bhubaneswar. He reportedly complained of chest pain around 1am and was rushed to Capital Hospital in an ambulance, but doctors declared him dead.“His condition was normal during the day. He suddenly developed chest pain late at night,” said his aide Jagannath Mudi.Following this, the mortal remains were taken to his native village under Sadar block in Keonjhar district.
