Bullets fly in Koh-e-Fiza as dispute turns violent, 6 hurt
Bhopal: A dispute between two groups of youths allegedly over a girl turned violent near Gufa Mandir under Koh-e-Fiza police station limits in the early hours of Sunday, leaving around six persons injured, including two with bullet injuries, while others sustained stab wounds and fractures. Police said members of both groups had gathered at a ground near Gufa Mandir around 1.30 am to resolve the matter when a heated argument escalated into violence. What began as a verbal confrontation soon spiralled into a physical clash as tempers flared and neither side backed down.
During the confrontation, one youth allegedly opened fire, discharging two rounds. One bullet struck a person in the back, while another grazed the ear of a rival group member. The firing triggered panic, but the situation escalated further instead of dispersing. tnn
