Karnataka high court rejects cops’ bail cancellation plea against five accused in Renukaswamy murder case
Bengaluru: The high court Wednesday dismissed a petition filed by Kamakshipalya police seeking cancellation of bail granted to five accused in Renukaswamy murder case. Actor Darshan and his friend Pavitra Gowda are the two main accused.
Justice S Rachaiah rejected the petitions wherein police sought cancellation of bail granted to Dhanraju D (accused no. 9), Puttaswamy alias Pavan K and Raghavendra (accused nos. 3 and 4), Nandeesh (accused no. 5) and V Vinay (accused no. 10). These five were granted bail by the trial court on Dec 23, 2024, two weeks after Darshan and others were given bail by high court.
The Supreme Court later cancelled the bail granted to Darshan and others.
