Thousands rally in Israel for end to hostages' 100-day ordeal

As the war entered its 100th day, the families of abductees rallied after they saw a replica of the tunnels in the besieged Palestinian territory where their loved ones are believed to have been held since their abduction on October 7. The crowds carried a massive banner that read: "And the world remains silent," and chanted that the hostages must be released "Now, now, now". (AFP Photo)

UN aid agency OCHA's head for the occupied Palestinian territories told AFP that Israel was constantly blocking humanitarian aid convoys into northern Gaza. Israel, Gaza will not remain same

According to AP, the ongoing war will impact both countries, physically, mentally, and politically. In Israel, despite the continuous coverage of war on TV and posters of kidnapped people on the streets, there is a sharp drop in Netanyahu's public approval ratings. While in Palestine, the experts believed that the war had killed one-third of the population and damaged half of Gaza’s buildings which will take years to rebuild. (AP Photo)

'Call for ceasefire, without demanding release of Israeli hostages,' says Israel office in Geneva

Israel criticised the UN human rights office for not reiterating its calls for the release of the hostages. "A call for a ceasefire, without demanding the release of our hostages and the disarming of Hamas, is a call for terrorism to win," its office in Geneva said. (AP Photo)

There's no postwar plan

As the war drags on and the death toll mounts, there is no clear path for when the fighting will end or what will follow. Israel says Hamas can play no part in Gaza’s future. Hamas says that’s an illusion, as per AP. (AP photo)
