Controversy swirled around NCT 127 member Haechan when he was spotted using e-cigarettes indoors during a choreography practice video. The incident prompted a response from SM Entertainment, the group's agency, which announced its intention to cover any fines incurred as a result. Expressing regret over the incident, SM issued a statement, saying, "We deeply apologize for causing concern to many people due to careless actions. We will pay special attention to prevent this from happening in the future".

A behind-the-scenes clip from the set of the popular drama ‘Welcome to Samdal-ri' has stirred controversy after it surfaced online, depicting actor Ji Chang-wook smoking an e-cigarette indoors during rehearsals. Although the video was originally released last month, it gained traction within online communities recently. In the footage, Ji Chang-wook can be seen smoking in the presence of fellow cast and crew, including stars like Shin Hye-sun and Lee Jae-won. While the segment featuring Ji Chang-wook smoking has since been removed and the actor issued an apology, netizens continue to express criticism over the incident.

Expressing her embarrassment, Meenoi candidly addressed the situation, stating, "I don't know what to do", before adding, "I’m embarrassed. If you love me who is actually like this, I’m embarrassed and thankful". Choi Hyun Wook

In October of last year, a video surfaced online, capturing actor Choi Hyun Wook in Seoul's Apgujeong Rodeo area. The footage depicted him holding hands with a woman while smoking a cigarette and then casually discarding the butt onto the road near parked cars, sparking widespread criticism. In response, Choi Hyun Wook personally apologized through his agency Gold Medalist, releasing a handwritten letter expressing remorse for his actions. Gold Medalist in its statement, acknowledged, “Recently, while engaging in a conversation with acquaintances on the street, Choi Hyun Wook smoked and improperly discarded his cigarette and did other careless actions that may have made others uncomfortable. Choi Hyun Wook acknowledges his mistakes and is deeply reflecting on his behavior. We extend our sincere apologies to all those who were disappointed”.
