Former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi has challenged the state government over its move to reassign the government bungalow she has occupied for more than a decade, saying she will not vacate the residence voluntarily. Reacting to an order allotting the 10, Circular Road bungalow in Patna to Dairy and Fisheries Minister Nand Kishor Ram, the RJD leader said chief minister Samrat Choudhary could remove her only by force. Rabri Devi made the remarks after returning from Delhi, where she attended her grandson’s birthday celebrations. The bungalow, located near Raj Bhavan and the chief minister’s residence, has long served as both the family home of Lalu Prasad and a key political centre for the RJD. The dispute stems from a revised allotment policy reserving the residence for a deputy chief minister.
