Bigg Boss Telugu 4: From most probable contestants to limited crew members and pay cuts, all we know so far about the upcoming season

Bigg Boss Telugu 4 hosted by Nagarjuna Akkineni is gearing up for a launch very soon. With just a couple of weeks away for its launch, here is what we know about the upcoming season so far.

After his successful stint as a host in season 3, Nagarjuna Akkineni was signed up for the upcoming season as a host much before the lockdown, as per close sources. Rumour mill has it that he is charging around Rs. 8 crore for season 4.

Bigg Boss Telugu season 4 is mostly likely to be postponed to the first weekend of September. As per the latest reports, the makers have initially pushed for a launch on August 30. However, factors like Ishmart Jodi’s grand finale and Nagarjuna’s birthday on August 29 have also played a part in postponing the launch to September 6. The shoot for the premiere is likely to happen on September 5 (Saturday). An official confirmation on this is awaited at this moment.

This season has an interesting line up consisting of TV actors, directors, social media influencers and internet sensations. As per the latest reports, choreographer-turned-director Amma Rajasekhar, director Surya Kiran, actress Monal Gajjar, news presenter Devi, supporting actress Karate Kalyani, singer-TV host Noel Sean, Jabardasth fame Avinash, YouTuber Gangavva, social media influencers Mehaboob Shaik, Dethadi Harika, TV host Lasya Manjunath, VJ Ariana Glory, TV actors Thanuja Puttaswamy, Syed Sohail Ryan and others are likely to be a part of the show.

16 contestants are expected to enter the BB house on the premiere day this season. All of them have been reportedly quarantined at a private hotel in Hyderabad. Their health status is being monitored regularly by the team. If the insider reports are to be believed, 3-4 additional contestants are also lined up in case someone falls sick.

A few actors like Tarun, Shraddha Das, Sunaina, TV host Vishnupriya Bheemineni and others have already declared that they are not a part of the upcoming fourth season of Bigg Boss Telugu. Young actors Siddhu Jonnalagadda and RX100 fame Karthikeya have also allegedly rejected the offer.

Bigg Boss Telugu series is one of the biggest TV productions on Telugu television with a crew of over 300 members. However, the upcoming season was forced to operate with a limited crew owing to the special condition induced by the pandemic. Close sources reveal that the production house of BB Telugu even had pay cuts for a section of its workforce. However, an official confirmation on this is awaited at the moment.

While a teaser featuring host Nagarjuna Akkineni in three different avatars directed by Soggade Chinni Nayana fame Kalyan Krishna and shot by Senthil Kumar created a lot of buzz on social media, yet another teaser announcing the launch date of the show is expected this weekend.
