Bigg Boss Tamil's latest season witnessed a grand premiere yesterday (October 3). Kamal Haasan is back as the host of the much-awaited reality show for the fifth time consecutively.

This season features a unique combination of contestants including singers, actors, folk artists, anchors, and entrepreneurs, to name a few. Let’s have a look at the full and final list of the contestants of this season 5 edition.

Mathumitha Raghunathan is a model and costume designer from Germany. She comes from a Sri Lankan Tamil family settled in Germany. She did a professional course in fashion designing and got interested in modelling too. She has been working as an IT professional over the past couple of years. She is one of the friends of singer Dhee. Madhumitha aims to build a career in the entertainment industry in India.

Raju Jeyamohan is from Tirunelveli. He is an actor and mimicry artist who was an assistant director of renowned director K. Bhagyaraj. He made his acting debut in Kana Kaanum Kalangal. Later, he acted in shows like Andal Azhagar, Saravanan Meenatchi, Barathi Kannamma, and Naam Iruvar Namakku Iruvar. He made his movie debut with Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma.

Chinna Ponnu is a folk artist and playback singer, who is from Suranam, Sivagangai district. She started performing as a professional singer at the age of 13. She made her singing debut with the hit song “Vazhthuren Vazhthuren” in the movie Chandramukhi starring Rajinikanth and Jyothika. Her contribution in popularising folk songs and folk artists is noteworthy.

Actor Abhinay Vaddi is the grandson of the legendary actors-turned-couple Gemini Ganesan - Savitri Ganesan. Abhinay was a national-level table tennis player and now trains budding table tennis players. He is interested in farming and helps poor farmers. He made his acting debut in the movie Ramanujan, based on the genius mathematician. Abhinay married Aparna, a fashion designer and the couple has a daughter named Swasthika Abhinay.

Actress Pavani Reddy was a model in the early days of her career. In Tamil, she made her TV debut with the show Rettai Vaal Kuruvi (as Vennila/Nila). She is popular for her appearances in Pasamalar (as Bharathi) and EMI-Thavanai Murai Vazhkai (as Thara). She became close to fans with her performances in Chinna Thambi (as Nandhini) and Rasathi. Isaivani aka Gaana Isaivani is a singer who is from Royapuram, Chennai. She is the daughter of Selvi and Sivakumar D, who is skilled in playing multiple musical instruments. In 2020, she was honored with the BBC 100 Women Award. Beginning her singing career at the age of 6, she has performed in more than 10000 shows. She has become the first professional Gaana singer in the world to achieve this milestone.

Abishek Raaja is a multifaceted talent who is an emcee, actor, writer, video jockey, creative director, social media sensation, and much more. He was also featured in the movie Imaikka Nodigal. He is popular for his style of presenting reviews and conducting celebrity interviews.

Varun Ishari Kamalakannan is the grandson of popular actor Ishari Velan and the relative of movie producer Ishari Ganesh. He was professionally trained by Pandian master to perform stunts. He also took formal training in MMA (mixed martial arts) and Parkour sport. Varun made his acting debut in the movie Thalaivaa and is known for his appearances in Puppy and Joshua Imai Pol Kakka,

Imman Annachi hails from Thoothukudi district and is a popular actor. He is also a TV host, judge, and politician. Konjam Arattai Konjam Settai marked his TV debut. He is famous for his shows like Solunganne Sollunga, Asathal Chutties, and Gallapetti. He graced TV show Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru as a judge. Having made his debut in Chennai Kadhal, he is seen in a number of movies.

Suruthi is an engineer-turned-model, who is in the fashion industry for over four years. She is also a national basketball player too. Suruthi got sponsorship from Sports Authority of India and completed her education successfully.

Iykki Berry, who hails from Thanjavur (Tanjore) is a singer, doctor, songwriter, cosmetologist. Being an independent artist, she is well known for her rapping skills in Tamil. During her intro session, she introduced herself proudly as ther member of a farmer's family.

Thamarai Selvi is a folk artist from Dindigul. Being a stage artist, she has performed in hundreds of shows.

Ciby Bhuvana Chandran is an actor, who comes from Tenkasi. He completed his graduation in the UK and was having a successful career as a research associate. Due to his passion for acting, he returned to India. He acted in the movies Vanjagar Ulagam (debut) and Etharkkum Thunindhavan. He became close to the audience with his appearance in Master featuring Vijay.
