Diwali, the festival of lights is finally here and the Marathi TV stars are also celebrating the festival with great joy. Hruta Durgule

Phulpakharu fame Hruta Durgule created social awareness by adding, “I strongly oppose the sound and air pollution. I feel that, we all should behave as a responsible citizen of the nation and take the opportunity to bring something positive. I hereby request all my fans that we should stop bursting crackers as it causes the air and sound pollution and should also conserve the environment.”

Anita Date

Mazhya Navryachi Bayko's Radhika aka Anita Date has a personal story to tell. She said, "I stopped bursting crackers when I was in 6th standard. My sister got breathing problem during those days because of the smoke coming out of the crackers. So, I request all of my fans to stop bursting crackers as it can create some serious health issues to our dear ones."

Suyash Tilak

Suyash, who played the lead role of Surya in his recent show Baapmanus has a social message for his fan. He said, “Bursting crackers is an abuse to the environment and especially for the animals. They are unable to breathe clean air and often get scared of the noise made by the crackers. I believe the environment is equal for all and likewise, animals too have the right to live in a safer environment. I would also like to appeal to the viewers to not indulge in lighting sky lanterns as they cause a lot of pollution. I wish everyone a very happy and environmental friendly Diwali. Let’s strive to light up our planet and push away the darkness of pollution this year.”

Khushboo Tawde

Khushboo aka Meera from the show Aamhi Doghi said, “I am against of celebrating the festival of Diwali by bursting crackers. Instead, I request my fans to lighten up this festival of lights with candles and diyas. We should start protecting the environment and should not do a single act that can harm our nature.”

Shashank Ketkar

Shashank Ketkar, the chocolate boy of Marathi TV has a strong message for his fans, “I have stopped playing with crackers since 1994. The festival shouldn't be celebrated by polluting the roads with waste and causing air and sound pollution. In fact, I request my fans to celebrate this occasion with cotton diyas, paper lanterns. And through this, we can prove that we are a responsible citizen,” he said.

Siddharth Bodke

Siddharth, who plays the central character in the show Tu Ashi Jawali Raha, gave an environment-friendly message on this Diwali. He said, “I really liked the decision of Supreme court on putting limitations on the timings for bursting crackers. And I am in strong support of this decision. I feel that this will surely help to reduce the sound and air pollution.”
