Bigg Boss Malayalam 3: Here's a quick recap of some major events in the temporarily suspended show so far

Bigg Boss Malayalam 3 was recently suspended due to the spike in COVID-19 cases across the country. However, fans are hopeful that the show would have a resume soon. Undoubtedly, the season was full of unexpected entries, exits and more. Here is a quick look at the major events of the season.

The third season of Bigg Boss Malayalam 3 had a grand launch on Valentine's Day (February 14). From TV celebs to a sports personaliy, the show welcomed 14 contestants from different walks of life.

The show had 4 wildcard entries - TV couples Sajina and Firoz Khan, Michelle Ann, Angel Thomas and Remya Panicker - this season.

Even though many fights that took place in the house, the brawl between Sai Vishnu and Sajina during the 'Ponnu Vilayum Mannu' task was one of the much talked about ones this season. During the task, Sajina accused Sai of physically hurting her. However, Bigg Boss eventually terminated the task due to the fights between the contestants.

This season, an argument between contestants during the ranking task extended up to nearly 5 and a half hours. Further, Bigg Boss intervened and ordered the contestants to conclude the task soon.

Contestants Sajina and Firoz Khan got expelled from the show for violating the rules of the show. The host lashed out at the contestants for threatening inmate Remya Paniker of revealing one of her personal things.

The ex-husband of contestant Bhagyalajshmi passed away recently. Bigg Boss informed the same to Bhagyalakshmi but she decided to continue the game.

Remya entered the reality show as a wildcard entrant and got evicted after a couple of weeks. Later, on the 50th day, she made a surprise re-entry into the game. She got evicted in the recent weekend episode.

Contestant Manikuttan made an exit from the show stating that he is afraid to continue the game. However, he made a comeback after three days.

Contestant Dimpal Bhal's father passed away a few weeks ago and she left the house soon after the news reached the BB house. She made a re-entry recently stating that it was her father's wish to see her succeed in the show.

In connection with a verbal spat between contestants Sandhya Manoj and Manikuttan, the host apologised to the former on behalf of Manikuttan. He said, "I was upset to hear that comment from Manikuttan. Even now, I am not sure about his stance on this issue. So, being an artist myself or someone who represents a fraternity, I apologise to you."

Bigg Boss Malayalam 3 has been temporarily suspended due to the second wave of COVID-19 outbreak.

"This is Bigg Boss. In light of the widespread COVID-19 and lockdown, we are temporarily stopping the telecast of the show. Hopefully, we shall resume the show once the situation permits," Bigg Boss announced towards the end of the 96th episode.
