The latest episode of Bigg Boss Kannada season 8 witnessed an emotional one as the housemates were given a chance to thank one of the most special people in their lives. While the contestants opened up about the ups and downs in their life, they did express their gratitude to the family members and well-wishers.

​Prashanth's biggest backbone

Prashanth Sambargi, who is quite an emotionally strong contestant of the season, got a little sentimental as he spoke about his sister. Mentioning his sister as his 'first critic' in his life, the activist thanked her for looking after him as his mother. From guiding Prashanth in his studies to supporting him in every step, the latter hailed his sister.

​Rajeev's bond with his father

Rajeev took up the opportunity to seek an apology from his father. He also revealed that he is not in talking terms with his father for the past two years due to personal reasons. However, Rajeev also conveyed his deepest emotions that he is not happy without talking to him. The former captain also suffered an emotional breakdown remembering his father's critical health condition.

​Manju's struggle for overcoming poverty

The actor spoke about his struggling days of his career. Manju spoke about the hunger he had to explore the inner artist in him. From sleeping outside in the rain to starving for food and walking kilometers to reach his practice venue, Manju spoke about his economic crises. However, he did mention the biggest turning point in his career was the show 'Majaa Bharatha', which gave him a chance to lead a suttle life.

Shankar remembered how his father, late actor K S Ashwath had been the biggest support system in his life. Narrating about the ups and downs in her career, Shankar narrated an incident of how his father stood by his side despite his medical condition. Having said that, Shankar averred that his father has been his guardian angel even now as he is protecting him.

Calling her father the true hero in her life, Nidhi Subbiah opened up about how her father had nurtured her since childhood. She then got emotional as he spoke about her father's final stage of his life. Having diagnosed with stage three cancer, Nidhi's father had only limited time with him. Speaking about that, the actress thanked her cousin brothers for lending their support to her at that time.
