Kannada TV industry lost some of the finest artists this year. From little star Samanvi, Chetna Raj, and Mandya Ravi many celebrities left a void in the Kannada entertainment industry.

​Samanvi

Kannada TV actress Amrutha Naidu's daughter and Nannamma superstar fame 6-year-old, Samanvi, died in a tragic road accident on January 13. The incident occurred when the mother-daughter duo was reportedly returning home in their two-wheeler after shopping. They were reportedly hit by a lorry at Konankunte cross, Bengaluru. It was reported that Samanvi breathed her last on the spot.

Bhargavi Narayan

Veteran Kannada actress and noted writer Bhargavi Narayan breathed her last on February 14. Bhargavi's granddaughter and actress Samyukta Hornad confirmed the news on her Instagram handle. She wrote: "My grandma… Ajji Bhajji… has passed on, today at 7.30 pm (sic)". Bhargavi was reportedly battling age-related illnesses.

​Chethana Raj

Kannada TV actress Chethana Raj, aged 21, reportedly passed away after undergoing plastic surgery at a private hospital in Bengaluru. The actress got admitted to the hospital on May 16 morning and underwent a 'fat-free' surgery. The actress reportedly faced slight changes in her health during the evening as water had accumulated in her lungs. Later, as her health deteriorated, she died of a cardiac arrest.

Ace Kannada TV actor Mandya Ravi breathed his last on September 14. According to sources, Mandya Ravi reportedly was suffering from multiple organ failures and was undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Bengaluru.

Veteran Kannada actor Lohithaswa T S, passed away at a private hospital here on, after a prolonged illness. The 80-year-old died after being hospitalised for over a month.

​Mohan Juneja

Actor and comedian Mohan Juneja passed away on May 7. The actor who was suffering from prolonged illness failed to respond to the treatment and breathed his last at a private hospital in Bengaluru. He was 54.
