Sharad Malhotra, Ripci Bhatia giving their marriage a second chance? Here are other TV couples who went through a rough patch

Marriages are not the same for everyone. While some have it fairly easy, there are others who struggle to keep it going. The list includes some of our popular TV celebs. Aishwarya Sakhuja and Rohit Nag

Aishwarya Sakhuja, who is known for shows like ‘Saas Bina Sasural’ and ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’, revealed giving her marriage another chance. The actress, who has been married to longtime boyfriend Rohit Nag since 2014, shared on social media, “Even after dating each other for 6 years, we found adjusting with each other a daunting task. Just when we thought it wasn’t going to work, we gave one last try by taking a vacation to Bali”. They also met fortune tellers, who read faces and wrote, “We were ready to believe anyone who gave us a glimmer of hope.”

Sharad Malhotra and Ripci Bhatia

Sharad and Ripci tied the knot in 2019. Reports suggest that the couple's differences grew recently and they went through a difficult time in their marriage due to their 'individualistic personalities'. A source close to HT shared that the couple's busy work life and travel increased the distance between them. But both of them are giving another shot to their marriage. The two recently went to Goa together and are working to resolve their differences with the support of their families. (Photo: Instagram)

Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla

Rubina and Abhinav tied the knot in 2018. It was Rubina who revealed on Bigg Boss 14 that she and Abhinav were on the verge of getting divorced. However, they decided to give their marriage another chance by appearing on the reality show. The unlikely outcome turned out to be in their favour. The couple stuck with each other and all is well in their haven now. Abhinav had confirmed the same after their stint on BB. He had told ETimes TV, "Everything is fine now. There’s no divorce happening. The show made us stronger and strengthened our bond." (Photo: Instagram)

Amit Tandon and Ruby

Amit and Ruby, who tied the knot in 2007, were all set to end their marriage in 2017. They have a daughter, Jigyasa. However, their hearts changed after Ruby, a dermatologist by profession, was arrested for misbehaving with DHA (Dubai Health Authorities) in the same year. The couple patched up in 2019 and Amit told us, "I think we went through a lot of ups and downs in a very short span of time and it taught us many things. We realised that we are better together as a couple and we should give each other a chance. This is the best thing we can do for each other and our child."

Keith Sequeira and Rochelle Rao

Keith and Rochelle participated in Bigg Boss together in 2015. The couple tied the knot secretly in 2018 and announced it later on social media. However, the lockdown didn't do them good. And they decided to resolve their differences with the help of a marriage counselling course. Rochelle told BT, "It changed our relationship in a great way, like there were a few things that we had both said and done to each other in the last couple of years that were misunderstood and not processed properly. This gave us the opportunity to just clear the air without targeting or making it look like a fight. It was actually very sweet because we sorted out matters in a healthy way. So that changed our opinion of each other." (Photo: Instagram)

Zarina Wahab and Aditya Pancholi

However, there were reports of their marriage going through a rough patch because of Aditya's anger issues and rumoured affairs with actresses Pooja Bedi and Kangana Ranaut. Their marriages, however, stood the test of time and they continue to be together.
