Many actors, who have made it big in the television industry, have previously appeared in Bollywood movies but have gone unnoticed. Did you know that many popular TV personalities like Asim Riaz, Kapil Sharma, Dilip Joshi and a few others have been there? Here’s a look at who all out of the popular TV actor have played a blink and miss role in Bollywood:

Bigg Boss 13 fame Asim Riaz was one of the goons who fought with lead actor Varun Dhawan in Main Tera Hero. The fight sequence filmed between them features Asim running behind Varun with a hockey stick and falling back when the latter hits back. Asim has now made a place for himself in the TV industry post his BB3 stint.

Popular comedian Kapil Sharma, who has now made it big on TV with numerous appearances in comedy shows and now hosts his show, played an insignificant role in the movie Bhavnao Ko Samjho. Though this role was offered to him post-winning The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, he was barely noticed in the scenes.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Dilip Joshi played a small role in Salman Khan and Bhagyashree’s Maine Pyaar Kiya. He was seen as one of the servants in the superhit movie. Later, he also featured in a cameo role in Hum Aapke Hain Koun! Now the actor has made it big with his role as Jethalal in one of the most popular television sitcoms.

Before becoming a popular face on television, Karan Tacker featured in a small role in Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi for a short while. The actor was spotted in one of the songs from the movie ‘Haule-Haule’. After featuring in the Bollywood movie, Karan bagged a role in the TV show, Love Ne Mila Di Jodi and later rose to fame from EK Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai.

Comedian-actor Sunil Grover starred in the Bollywood movie Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha opposite Ajay Devgn. The actor appeared in the movie and played a not so important role wherein he was seen shaving Ajay’s beard. Now the actor has made it big not only in the television industry but is a popular name in Bollywood too. Moreover, recently the actor made his digital debut with the latest web series.

Kyun Utthey Dil Chhod Aaye’s Zaan Khan first faced the camera during his engineering days in Bhopal. He bagged a small role in Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn starrer Satyagrah. The actor in one of his interviews with ETimes TV revealed that he had just two dialogues in the movie, and wasn’t nervous at all to go for it.

Balika Vadhu fame, Shashank Vyas did a negligible role in Akshay Kumar starrer Tees Maar Khan. The actor played a gay character in the movie before he made it big as Jagya in Balika Vadhu. The actor also stated in one of his interviews that he doesn't care about the medium as long as what he is doing is good.

Popular television actress and now even a Bollywood star, Mouni Roy featured in the song ‘Nahi Hona Nahi Hona’ in the movie Run. Post her Bollywood debut, Mouni bagged quite a few film offers and became a popular face through her television debut in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Mouni became a household name post her appearance in Naagin. She is now a popular actress, and even played the lead role opposite Akshay Kumar in Gold.
