Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile’s Aayushi Khurrana on why the recent track has been extremely challenging: “When Reet breaks down at her baby’s graveyard…’
The popular fiction show Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile has kept viewers glued to their seats with its gripping storyline and emotionally charged drama. The protagonists of the show are Bharat Ahlawwat (Raghav) and Aayushi Khurrana (Reet). Over the years, the show has given us some emotional storylines that has left its viewers teary eyed be it Sehaj Rrajput's (Unnati) domestic violence track or Bharat Ahlawwat's (Raghav) Jail track. These powerful moments have challenged the performers as well as resonated strongly with audiences, creating some of the most memorable scenes from the show. Another heart wrenching chapter unfolded in the recent episodes where Reet delivers her baby and then faces the devastating loss of her newborn. The inability to cope with the tragedy sees Reet breaking down emotionally while visiting her baby’s grave.Speaking about portraying these emotionally intense scenes, Aayushi Khurrana shares, “Reet's journey in the recent episodes has been one of the most emotionally challenging experiences of my career. Although portraying a mother's grief on screen was emotionally challenging, the constant support of my co-actors and the entire crew helped me bring these intense moments to life with honesty and conviction."
The actress further adds, "I’m not a mother in real life but imagining myself in the shoes of a woman who loses her newborn child was heart breaking. Especially when Reet breaks down at her baby’s graveyard that’s when I had to completely surrender to the character’s pain and I was very emotional. As actors we tend to use our emotions to make a scene real but the grief of losing a child is something that stays with you long after the cameras stop rolling. Some scenes actually took my breath away. I thank my co-actors, director and the whole team for making such a supportive environment and giving me the space to perform such difficult moments with honesty and sensitivity.
