Mannara Chopra is currently locked inside the Bigg Boss 17 house. Born to Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra's paternal aunt (bua), Kamini Chopra Handa. Mannara Chopra was born in Priyanka Chopra's paternal family and her real name is Barbie Handa. Her parents kept her name Barbie because she used to look like a doll back in those days.

In a podcast, Mannara had shared, "While we were having the screening of my film Zid, my cousin Priyanka Chopra suggested that I should change my name Barbie Handa, then in that process, my sister's name is Mitali starts from 'M' so I chose to take Mannara. The name means 'to shine'.

Mannara revealed how she was quite nervous about her new name, she shared, "After the film got released there was an award function and when I was getting ready, the first thing that came to my mind was that how will I react to the paps who would call me Mannara to pose for the pictures."

Mannara has been trained in professional dance forms such as Kathak, hip-hop and even Belly dancing. She has also been a stage performer for her dancing.

Before venturing into acting, Mannara Chopra had begun her career as an assistant choreographer and also worked as a fashion designer.

During her modelling days, Mannara had done an ad film with Salman Khan. She had shared in an interview about her fond memory. She said, “That is a sweet little memory I have with him. Bigg Boss is the kind of show because of the fandom he brings and I am blessed to be a part of the show with him.”

Mannara, who often calls herself a traveller, also owns her YouTube Channel and she vlogs about DIY outfits, new looks for festive days and more about lifestyle.
