From being accused of posting fake comments in a segment to his major brawl with Sunil Grover; times when Kapil Sharma and his show courted controversies

Kapil Sharma has become one of the finest comedians in the country. His show The Kapil Sharma Show garners national and international audiences. However, it is not always that the host is loved by all. He has often been mired in controversies and here's a list of a few controversies that made to headlines:

In a recent episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, Ranbir Kapoor graced the stage. In a segment Post ka postmortem, Kapil shared a picture of Saurav and Ranbir and the comments on the post were fake. Saurav took to his social media and tweeted, "आप अच्छे इंसान है @KapilSharmaK9 लोगो को हॅसाते हैं लेकिन आप और आपकी टीम यें झूठें कमेंट कैसे दिखा सकते हैं किसी की सोशल मीडिया पर। This is not acceptable जय हिंद #TheKapilSharmaShow (You are a good human being, Kapil Sharma. You make people laugh but how could you and your team show fake comments on someone's social media. This is not acceptable)."

Recently, a user shared a video from the episode pointing at the teleprompter. He accused Kapil of calling his lines impromptu and receiving praises. However, fans came out in support of Kapil and wrote that it is important to have a prompter to remember the lines while hosting for long hours.

When asked if he had been asked to be a part of Kapil's upcoming show, Family Time with Kapil, Sunil Grover tweeted that he had not received a call about it. Kapil accused him of lying on Twitter, claiming that he had contacted Sunil Grover "more than 100 times" but had not received a response.

According to reports, a drunk Kapil was spewing insults at Chandan Prabhakar when Sunil intervened to take control of the situation, but Kapil became even more enraged and physically and verbally assaulted the latter.

After a few drinks, the host of 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' allegedly misbehaved with Monali Thakur, Tanishaa Mukerji, and other female guests allegedly during the IIFM (International Marathi Film Festival) Awards 2015. It was even reported that he had misbehaved with a Marathi actress too. Later, Kapil wrote a cryptic post, 'I fall, I rise, I make mistakes, I live, I learn, I've been hurt but I am alive. I am human, I am not perfect but I am thankful.'

According to a Mumbai Mirror article, Priyanka Chopra and Kapil Sharma had a fall out during an award ceremony when Priyanka kept Kapil waiting for 3 hours.

When Kapil was trying to balance his time between films and his television show, Comedy Nights with Kapil, he reportedly gave the producers an ultimatum: make the show weekly or it would be a no-show for four months.

An NGO filed a complaint against Kapil with the Maharashtra State Commission for Women after he made a joke about how going on a pothole-riddled road can help a poor pregnant woman deliver her baby.
