Bigg Boss 17 fame Ayesha Khan shocked many when she recently opened up about her sexual harassment incident. In the past few years, many celebs like Munmun Dutta, Shrenu Parikh and others came forward and spoke about similar sexual abuse that they went through and how it left them traumatised. Ayesha Khan

Ayesha Khan, who is known for her journey in reality show Bigg Boss 17 recently opened up about a horrid experience. In an interview with Hauterrfly, she shared some incidents that left her traumatised. She mentioned how a few years ago, she joined an agency as a newcomer. Ayesha then said that they wanted to do a photoshoot with her and asked her to wear a black netted top without an inner. Despite her discomfort, they insisted on clicking her in the sheer garment and compared it to how even top stars like Madhuri Dixit had faced similar situations.

Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal

In May 2023, the Taarak Mehta actress shocked everyone when she recorded a sexual harassment case producer Asit Kumarr Modi, project head Sohil Ramani and Jatin Bajaj. She said, "I have come back to Mumbai and I was called by the Powai police. I went to Powai police station yesterday and recorded my statement. I reached there around 12 PM and left from there at 6:15 PM. I’ve given my entire statement to them. I was there for 6 hours. Now, law will take its course." She further added, "I’ve been told that they will let me know if there is anything that needs to be done and if I again need to go. For now I’ve recorded my statement." The actress recently won the case.

Munmun Dutta

Munmun Dutta, who is well-known for her role as Babita Iyer in the TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, bravely shared her story of being a victim of sexual abuse during the #Metoo movement. She recounted the painful memories of being harassed by various individuals during her childhood. Munmun revealed the distressing experiences she faced, including being groped by a neighborhood uncle, feeling uncomfortable around older cousins, and being inappropriately touched by a man she encountered at the hospital and later when she was a teenager. She also spoke about the fear she felt towards her tuition teacher and another teacher who mistreated female students in class. Munmun expressed the intense fear and silence that often accompany such traumatic experiences, highlighting the difficulty of speaking up when feeling young, scared, and vulnerable. It was a poignant and courageous revelation from Munmun Dutta.

Shrenu Parikh

Shrenu Parikh shared a shocking incident from her past on social media. When she was just 6 years old, she used to spend her vacations in her grandparents' town and traveled on a local bus. During one journey, a kind uncle offered to let her sit on his lap when the seats were full. Shrenu accepted and fell asleep on his lap. However, she woke up to the disturbing realization that the uncle was inappropriately touching her. Despite sensing that something was wrong, she couldn't find the courage to speak up at that moment or later. Looking back, Shrenu expressed regret for not speaking out and wished that the man had faced consequences for molesting a 6-year-old child. It was a deeply personal and emotional revelation from Shrenu.

Kavita Kaushik

Kavita Kaushik shared a heartbreaking story about experiencing a traumatic incident of sexual harassment during her childhood. While participating in an immunity task on Bigg Boss 14, Kavita disclosed that she was molested by her math tutor when she was just 11 years old. She bravely revealed that these distressing events took place in her own home when the tutor was there to teach her Math. The actress further mentioned that she confided in her mother about the incident, but unfortunately, her mother did not believe her. It was a deeply emotional moment for Kavita to open up about such a painful experience.

Madhurima Tuli

Madhurima Tuli, a contestant on Bigg Boss 16, bravely shared her story of experiencing sexual harassment. She disclosed that her tutor had abused her when she was young. Madhurima revealed that her tutor would manipulate situations to be alone with her by sending her brother away to fetch water or tea. Despite the difficult situation, she found the courage to confide in her mother, who provided her with support and understanding during such a challenging time. It was a courageous step for Madhurima to speak out about her experience.

Eijaz Khan

Eijaz Khan also shared his experience of being a survivor of sexual harassment while participating in an immunity task. He bravely spoke about being molested at a young age, which resulted in him developing a fear of physical touch. Eijaz expressed, "Mujhe touch se problem hai (I am afraid of physical touch)." He emphasized that he does not hold himself responsible for what happened to him, acknowledging that he was not to blame. Additionally, Eijaz apologized to his father for not confiding in him about the incident. It was a courageous moment for Eijaz to open up about his past experiences.
