Exclusive - Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan: Amandeep Sidhu opens up about Sneha’s dilemma to forgive Siddhu or choose her self-respect
Popular fiction show Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan has been winning hearts all across the country and has ranked among the top performing shows on the TRP charts for the past few weeks. Apart from the television ratings, the show has also created a huge buzz on social media with viewers passionately invested in Sneha (Amandeep Sidhu) and Siddhu's (Sheizaan Khan) love story. Fans have previously rooted for the two to get back together when the circumstances kept them apart. Now, after tying the knot finally, the Sneha and Siddhu are caught in yet another emotional storm as Sneha finds out that Siddhu kept a big truth from her: he is Durgawati’s (Indira Krishna) son. The current track has again created a buzz on social media, with viewers supporting the #SnehaKiAwaaz trend and expressing their views on whether Sneha should give Siddhu another chance or choose her self-respect and move on. Amid this overwhelming response, Amandeep Sidhu who essays the role of Sneha opens up about the storyline and the overwhelming love she has received from the audience.
Amandeep Sidhu shares, “I feel today Sneha is fighting the biggest battle of her life, between her heart and her self-respect. There is no doubt that she loves Siddhu, but she can’t ignore the pain of having been lied to by the one person she trusted the most at the same time. The audience would see her constantly questioning herself: Should she forgive Siddhu because of their love, or should she choose her dignity and walk away from a relationship built on a hidden truth? It’s this internal conflict that makes this part of her story so powerful.”
The actress adds, “I am also very thankful for the immense love given to Sneha by viewers. Her journey has been overwhelming—the support, the way people have connected to her emotions, the decisions she’s made. The most satisfying feeling is to know that Sneha has become a ‘ghar ghar ki beti’ and her story touches the lives of many families.”
Now that Ganga Mai (Shubhangi Latkar) has taken a strong stand by Siddhu’s side and advises him not to give up on his relationship, the fight for Sneha’s heart has become more compelling. Siddhu is still determined to win her trust back, but Sneha is still reeling from the betrayal that shattered her faith in him. All eyes now lie on whether Siddhu’s love will emerge as the ultimate winner or if Sneha’s new found resentment for Siddhu will bring a tragic end to SneDhu’s love story.
