‘Tumi Ashe Pashe Thakle’ to go off-air; Cast and crew shoot the finale episode, see photos
After ‘Jol Thoi Thoi Bhalobasha’, another mega serial of a popular channel of Bengali Television is about to go off-air. The Rohaan Bhattacharjee, Nabanita Das and Rooqma Ray starrer ‘Tumi Ashe Pashe Thakle’ is set to close shop. The cast and crew of the show recently shot for the finale episode of the Bengali mega serial. Take a look.
The beginning
‘Tumi Ashe Pashe Thakle’ started its journey in November 2023. Rohaan Bhattacharjee was roped in for the male lead on the show, whereas Angana Roy was initially cast opposite the female lead. Nabanita Das joined the show as the parallel female lead on the show.
The journey
Although ‘Tumi Ashe Pashe Thakle’ started its journey with the prime-time slot on the channel roster, the rating of the mega serial started dropping after a few months. Due to that, the show’s time slot was shifted as well. However, the protagonists Rohaan Bhattacharjee and Angana Roy’s on-screen chemistry worked as one of the USPs of the show.
Reel to Real
Angana Roy began her journey on Bengali television with ‘Tumi Ashe Pashe Thakle’ last year. Angana was seen essaying the character of Parvati in the mega serial until last month. Rohaan and Angana, who had been friends before, grew closer to each other while working together. The couple fell in love on the set of the show and are still going strong despite Angana quitting the show last month.
Angana’s exit
Angana quit ‘Tumi Ashe Pashe Thakle’ last month due to her health scare. The actress informed that she was unwell for a while and she had to leave owing to the doctor’s advice. After her last day on set, Angana posted a photo of herself as Parbati with a short and sweet note, “Thank you for all the love and warmth. Signing off, Parvati/Paro. This one will always be special.”
Rooqma’s entry
After Angana quit the show, Rooqma came on board to play the character of Parvati. She shared a photo of her on her Instagram profile where the actress was seen donning the makeover of Parvati. But her tenure as Parvati has been really short. In one and a half months, the show is set to go off-air.
The end
‘Tumi Ashe Pashe Thakle’ is going off-air before it clocks a year of telecast. Although the show started its journey as a prime time slot holder, the channel decided to change its time slot multiple times due to low TRP. The show is set to go off-air in a few days.
