With the growing popularity of web series a number of popular artists are foraying into digital platforms. Almost every language has dedicated OTT platforms to hook their target audience with a full platter of entertainment content. Industry veterans feel, this not only has prompted the makers to experiment with a variety of content breaking the stereotype, but also inspired many artists to explore the digital world. The series was directed by Soumik Chattopadhyay, later on which was also dubbed in Hindi. It was her debut Bengali web series and also starred Rajdeep Gupta, Mainak Banerjee and others. ‘Mismatch 2’ rather dealt with partner swapping and had bold scenes as well as language. While it drew criticism from certain sections for certain scenes and dialogues, Riya made heads turn with her oozing charm.
