​Sohini Sengupta, an acclaimed actress and daughter of veteran thespian Rudraprasad Sengupta, fell in love with Saptarshi Maulik while working together for a theatre production of ‘Nandikar’. Sohini was previously married to Goutam Halder. However, the couple parted ways in 2006.

​Saptarshi’s paths crossed with Sohini when the aspiring young actor joined Nandikar. Sohini recalls that their initial interaction mostly involved her schooling Saptarshi. However, Sohini and Saptarshi became friends while working together.

​Sohini and Saptarshi’s friendship turned into love in not time. They fell in love with each other and after dating for only a few months, Sohini and Saptarshi decided to tie the knot. Despite the age gap of almost 14 years, Sohini and Saptarshi have found their happily-ever-after in their companionship.

​After getting hitched in 2013, Sohini and Saptarshi are celebrating their 11^th anniversary in 2024. The couple generally take time out for each other to celebrate their anniversary every year. This year, Sohini and Saptarshi jetted off to Goa for their holiday. The couple have been sharing glimpses of their vacation on social media.
