Noted actress and politician Roopa Ganguly is playing the lead role in recently launched television show ‘Meyebela’. For almost 8 years, she kept herself away from the entertainment industry. Her commitment towards politics kept Roopa busy. It was a pleasant surprise when the news of her featuring in a Bengali daily soap came to light. The actress said yes to the project which narrates the story of a middle-aged woman named Bithika who sacrificed her life for the well-being of her family. Although Mahaguru kept his love for Bengali TV alive by making appearances on reality shows as a judge, he gave ‘Dance Bangla Dance’ a miss for almost 10 years. He was last seen in TV show ‘Dance Dance Junior 2’ alongside Dev and Monami Ghosh. Fans were disappointed when Mithun Chakraborty wasn’t a part of the recently concluded season of the dance reality series.
