Travellers going to Chile would be relieved to know that they can now skip quarantine in the country if they are fully vaccinated. The new rule will be in place from November 1 onwards, wherein the five-day quarantine period will not be mandatory. All vaccinated travellers are now required to get their vaccinated status validated before travelling. Vaccinated travellers will also need to get tested.
Moreover, it has also been reported that all travellers must fill in a Travellers Affidavit, not longer than 72 hours before travelling. You will have to fill in your contact information, previous travel history, and medical history in the online Travellers Affidavit.
It is important to note here that travellers are also required to have travel insurance that will cover any medical expenses related to COVID-19. The minimum coverage for travel insurance should be $30000.
Chile is an extremely diverse travel destination, and is very popular for hiking. The country also produces wonderful wine that you cannot avoid. All in all, a trip to Chile is an eye-opening experience, and here is the opportunity for you to do so. One more reason to get vaccinated!
