Founder of the diagnostic centre that is leading the facility at the airport expressed that the new facility and rapid PCR machines have been installed at the airport in response to the guidelines issued by the United Arab Emirates. The UAE has made it mandatory for passengers to carry their test reports and present the same on arrival.
It is expected that more machines for this facility would soon be installed at the airport. The move is also expected to ease travel as the airport has been seeing increased passenger traffic, and the decline in COVID cases. Terminal 2 of the airport is also operational now, after having stayed shut for a while because of the pandemic.
