Kerala's first Vande Bharat Express, the Kasaragod - Thiruvananthapuram Kerala Vande Bharat Express, has been launched. It will cover a total of 11 districts and travel time between Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram Central has been reduced to eight hours and five minutes one way. The total train fare from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram Central will cost INR 1520, while the fare for Executive Class is INR 2815 inclusive of catering charges. Read less
The train will run between Thiruvananthapuram and Kasargod and it will cover a total of 11 districts on its way– Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Pathanamthitta, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasargod.
The total travel time between Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram Central is eight hours and five minutes one way. Earlier, the same distance by Rajdhani took 10 hours and 45 minutes. The new train is definitely a time-saver and a lot more comfortable too, one hopes.
The train fare from Thiruvananthapuram Central to Kasaragod is again different. It will cost you INR 1590 in Chair Car, inclusive of INR 379 as catering charges, and INR 2880 in Executive Class, inclusive of INR 434 as catering charge.
If passengers don’t wish to include catering, the fare will be minus the catering charges.
The new train service will be available on all days except Thursdays.
