Dr. Ali Irani and Sujoy Kumar Mitra from India have set a new Guinness World Record for travelling to all seven continents in the shortest possible time. Both of them are avid travellers and believe that every record is meant to be broken. In a statement to the Guinness World Records, the duo stated that they have been successful in breaking a record today, which will be broken by someone else tomorrow.
The record book shared the same on its website, and added that both Sujoy and Dr Ali are passionate travellers who believe that all records are made to be broken.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ali also shared the Guinness World Record certificate on his Instagram profile.
They ended their record-breaking journey in Melbourne, on December 7, 2022. On achieving this milestone, Dr. Irani stated that it was a great pleasure and privilege to create a world record by doing something that both of them were so greatly passionate about, and that he was humbled by this accomplishment.
The previous record was set by Dr Khawla AlRomaithi of the UAE, in February 2020, which was 3 days, 14 hours, 46 minutes, and 48 seconds.
