If you thought gourmet food is only served to business class passengers in planes, then you are wrong! The British Airways has decided on a new menu for economy class passengers that will include Michelin-starred meals planned by the famous Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge. Read less
The new menu features some best British classics, such as warm steak and ale pie. In addition to British delicacies, the international menu includes spiced cauliflower tortilla wrap. Kerridge in a statement said, "Britain is known all over the world for the quality of its meat, and so these pies will be like ambassadors for British cuisine, with proper, glazed pastry and oozing with flavor. And the sandwiches will have a lot of crunch and punch. They'll be substantial, too.”
Kerridge, who is an expert on British cuisine, owns a pub named The Hand & Flowers in the town of Marlow. He is also the first chef in the UK to receive two Michelin stars for his dishes.
If someone is planning to enjoy a British fare up and high in the air, then they need to plan before so as of now, the airways is offering the menu as a preorder option. Therefore, passengers are requested to place their orders online at least 12 hours before departure.
In addition to gourmet food, travellers will also get access to a new Wi-Fi across the fleet. Besides, there’s also an option to pre order duty-free things which will be delivered to the seats.
