Are you ready for Astro Camp at Benital, Uttarakhand?

Come May 19-21, Benital in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand, will host Astro Party for all space and astronomy enthusiasts.

It is also worth noting that the Uttarakhand government is planning to develop Benital as India’s first Astro Village. All astronomy enthusiasts better gear up because very soon you can have starry vacations.

The month-long Astro Camp, called the Benital Astro Camp, is in collaboration with Starscapes and will have several events; of course, the Astro Party is one such event you should not skip.


Benital is a great location for stargazing due to its remote location, high altitude, and lack of light pollution. The clear skies and lack of artificial lights make it an excellent spot to view stars, constellations, and other celestial bodies. Benital is one of the few locations in India where we can still enjoy Dark Sky.



During the night, the sky in Benital is usually filled with a spectacular display of stars, including the Milky Way, which is visible on clear nights.
