About the incredible starfish-shaped pool
The lead architect Niels de Bruin told the magazine, “The sea pool, floating, in view of the urban beach, is in reality, a multifunctional platform that can be used as a stage, transforming the beach and plazas to stands for large audiences.”
Explaining his design, he further said that connecting all three triangulated forms together also gives it a shape of starfish. “The triangle-shaped silhouettes of the surrounding mountains become part of this three-dimensional landscape,” he described.
Talking about the smart city park, a seawall will be constructed around the perimeter to protect visitors from the rough climate. But Inside the perimeter, there will be an atmosphere of calm and peace.
Also, interestingly, the length of the park will work on a natural to urban gradient, which means that one end of the park will be urbanized, while the other will just be natural.
This waterfront park is being designed by an acclaimed architecture firm and the park work will get completed by 2023, hopefully. This new sustainable park will feature a lot of interesting things, such as sports fields, floating pool, meeting spaces, beaches and event areas, among others.
