Head to Kelly Tarlton's SEA LIFE Aquarium, located in Auckland, for a fun-filled day of underwater discovery. This aquarium showcases over 30 live animal exhibits, including the world’s largest Antarctic penguin colony exhibit. Kids will simply love the underwater viewing areas, where they can come face-to-face with exciting creatures such as mammoth sharks. One of the most popular attractions is the shark cage snorkel experience, where visitors enter a cage that is submerged into the predator shark’s tank, filled with a variety of sharks. Through the cage’s plexiglass floor, they can look at the sharks, stingrays and other fish that are just mere inches away. The new Jurassic Seas exhibit is a hit with kids and adults both, where they can discover interesting facts about famous sea monsters that existed millions of years ago. And as expected, the open top tank that houses the giant sting rays is always a favourite with visitors, and hosts regular presentations which allow them to learn more about these playful creatures. With plenty of interactive zones, an awesome new kids play zone and an abundance of sea life to discover, it is easy to spend the whole day here.
