The first place one should go to is Big Rock Brewery, as they were the first ones to start the craft beer idea in Alberta. It is an adult only activity, but one that can be enjoyed throughout summer, hitting up multiple breweries and distilleries, either on your own or with a guide. The first place one should go to is Big Rock Brewery, as they were the first ones to start the craft beer idea in Alberta. Tours are on the weekends and normally last about an hour with plenty of samples in the end. Also, on Saturdays, Village Brewery runs one hour tours, and these guys are pretty unique as they only use Alberta grains and barleys. On Sundays it is a great experience to head to Wild Rose Brewery, where you will get a lesson on the history of the brewery, as well as insider tips on brewing and plenty of samples. If you choose to get a guided tour, head over to Calgary Brewery Tours, which starts at about 10:30 am. This fun filled day includes tours and tastings at Village Brewery, CRAFT Beer Market, The Dandy Brewing Company, Tool Shed Brewing Company, and Last Best Brewing and Distilling. You could also have lunch and beer tastings at CRAFT, and return home with a bag full of fun stuff including stickers, pint glasses and more.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
