Konigsallee and Schadowstraße are the two main streets where most shopping centres are located. While Konigsallee houses most of the luxury brands and boutiques (Swarovski, Victorinox, Louis Vuitton, etc.), Schadowstraße has many malls (Karstadt, Galeria Kaufhof, Saturn, etc.). Dusseldorf Altstadt (literally meaning the Old Town) is no less when it comes to shopping. While food and drinks are the highlights of this area, there are many small but exquisite stores selling some of the finest souvenirs and art pieces. Custom-made gift centres can be found here too.
