Kids love to learn about the stars, or wonder about going up in space one day. Luckily when you are in Winnipeg it is easy to head over to the Manitoba Planetarium located in the Manitoba Museum and take in one of the incredible shows that take place throughout the week. A quick fact as to why this planetarium is much better than others is because it uses the Digistar® 5 All-Dome digital projection technology, which allows for a single image to be broadcasted, instead of multiple images. This allows viewers to feel as though they are truly flying through outer space, an incredible experience for both parents and kids. Luckily this planetarium also has you covered in terms of kids programming. Not only do they offer the choice of three different shows but one of those shows is always catered to a younger crowd, keeping them engaged with a story but offering education as well. Each show is approximately 35 minutes, making it just long enough for kids to make it through without getting antsy. The best part, kids under three are free and an adult can see a show for as low as $11.00, a bargain considering the quality, entertainment and education one receives here.
