The land allocated for the construction of Jewar airport, located in the namesake city, will see men at work, toiling to give shape to the biggest airport in India. Reportedly, the Uttar Pradesh state government has given directions to the concerned departments to begin the job of building the airport before 2019.
According to news reports, the 7, 500-acre wide airport will also be linked to the nearby cities and highways to improve the connectivity. Three optional routes have been considered by YEIDA to render better access to the travellers to the Jewar airport.

"The aim is to provide maximum connectivity to the upcoming airport from various places in the NCR," YEIDA chief executive officer Arun Vir Singh told a news portal.
The YEIDA officials have also revealed to the press that the Jewar airport will also connect to the Yamuna expressway, and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
YEIDA has suggested three courses in the NCR that includes connecting the 165-km long Yamuna Expressway, which links Greater Noida and Agra, and also of Palwal-Khurja expressway, with Jewar airport.

"Jewar will be connected to the planned expressway between Palwal and Khurja, and Yamuna expressway, at the point the two intersect near Sabota Mustafabad and YEIDA's sectors 30, 31, 7 and 8, by a 7.5-km link. The second is the extension of the 130m-wide road between Noida and Sirsa, all the way to Jewar, making it a 46 km stretch in total. The stretch of this road between Parthala Khanjarpur in Sector 122, Noida and Sirsa-Kasna in Greater Noida has already been constructed," a YEIDA official told the news portal.
The Jewar airport construction is expected to be functional after five to six years.
