From a quiet drift through the wilderness, to a white-knuckled, wide-eyed journey down turbulent rapids—rafting in New Zealand covers the entire spectrum of adventure. There are myriad of fast flowing rivers running through the interiors, offering rafting experiences that range from tranquil to extreme. Trips can last from a couple of hours to five days, and are led by qualified rafting guides familiar with established safety codes. Some experiences even include a combined helicopter ride, and you can also try black water rafting through underground caves.
