If you are looking for some kind of introspection and quiet time to reconnect with yourself, head to the Isha Yoga Centre, a non-profit, spiritual organisation founded by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev in 1992, under the aegis of Isha Foundation. Located on the periphery of the city, this is set at the foothills of the Velliangiri Mountains and photography is strictly prohibited inside. Created as a powerful centre for inner growth, this is a destination for everything related to yoga and wellness. Naturally, this is a place that is frequented by Indians and foreigners alike. Taking a tour around the place you will see the architecturally magnificent Spanda Hall spread over 64000 sq ft that houses a meditation hall, and program facility for residential programmes. What sets this place apart is the Yoga Centre that houses a magnificent Dhyanalinga, a unique and powerful energy-form in the centre of the pillar-less dome structure. You can sit and feel the vibrations if you focus completely. This place is not religion specific, and this is well illustrated by the huge white edifice on the outside with symbols of all religions. This place also houses the Isha Rejuvenation Centre, and Isha Home School. For people who want to stay in the campus for courses, there is an in-house Vanaprastha accommodation. Spread over 150 acres of lush land, this place has some of the most serene environs to offer.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
