National Vodka Day was first celebrated in the United States on October 4 in 2009. Let’s have a look at some of the nations known for producing world-class vodka.
Russia: Russia, mother nation of vodka, is known for its pure and smooth vodka production. Some of the popular vodka brands include Stolichnaya and Russian Standard.
Poland: Poland too has a long history of vodka production. In fact, some of the Polish vodka brands are more famous than the Russian ones. Brands like Chopin, Belvedere, and Wyborowa are known for their high quality.
Latvia: Latvia is known for its herbal-infused vodka famous as Riga Black Balsam. While not a traditional clear vodka, it's a unique alcoholic beverage in Latvia.
USA: It will come as a surprise to know that vodka is being produced outside of Europe. But the US is now one of the leading sources of vodkas in the world.
Belarus: Belarus is known for producing high-quality vodka. Beluga and Belaya Rus are some of the prime vodka brands here. Belarusian vodka is made from grains and is known for its smooth taste.
