Learn to brew

Half Pints Brewing Company in Winnipeg invites guests to take a free tour every Saturday starting at 1 pm to learn about their beers and brewing. Opened in 2006, they became Winnipeg’s only locally owned and operated brewery as well as the only craft brewery in Manitoba. They use a simple approach to brewing beer, and during the tour, the brewmaster takes you through the entire process, starting from grinding the malted barley to adding the hops to transferring the wort into the fermenters. Expect a real welcoming vibe at this small brewery and learn about what different beers taste like. You will even get to try a few! It’s best to show up on time as the tour starts promptly at 1 pm. Make sure to pick up some of the delicious beers to take home after the tour. Our favourite was the flagship St. James Pale Ale with amazing fruity flavour and malt finish.
